The best sights of the Island close to the skies
From one of the highest points on the island of Gran Canaria, the Roque Nublo, you can discover a natural picture of exceptional beauty. A special place where you can glimpse at some of the most picturesque villages of the island.
Villages hidden amongst the beautiful landscape; wide slopes of endemic pine trees that share space with rocky gullies of volcanic origin; and surprising views all along the way. All this can be seen by the visitor in its entire splendour from the highest part of the island. Reaching “El Roque Nublo”, an enormous basalt rock which has been a symbol of Gran Canaria for generations, is, undoubtedly, a breathtaking visit you cannot miss out on. It is also the perfect ending for a trip through the interior of the island.
Finding a few minutes of peace whilst you enjoy a beautiful sunset at an altitude of nearly two thousand metres, is an experience which is difficult to forget. The whisper of the wind among the pine trees, and the open horizon ahead, allow you, on clear days, to enjoy marvellous views of the other islands which form part of the archipelago. It’s a good moment to feel the pleasure of dominating Nature from a bird’s eye view!
