This park incorporates numerous valuable aspects which merit its protection. It contains well preserved natural habitats, abundant endemic and protected species, some of which are only found in this nature area, for example, the species Dendriopoterium puliodoi. On the other hand, the pine forests, the abundant artificial pools and the coastal cliffs constitute very important habitats for many species of birds. The forest masses found in this park play a significant role in maintaining the underground water table and in soil conservation, as well as being one of the best examples of a pine forest ?one of the most characteristic systems of the Canary Islands. From a geomorphological point of view, relevant structures are also found here, such as the colossal caldera or crater produced by collapse / erosion of the Tejeda basin, the ravines of the southwest or the Roque Nublo rock. Aesthetically, the Nublo Park offers a landscape of dismantled structures and sharp slopes with spectacular areas of great interest.
