This area is the best and most complete example of Gran Canaria. It is also rich in indigenous flora and fauna, particularly invertebrates. The flora includes more than 40 species that are endemic to the Canary Islands, a dozen of which are exclusive to Gran Canaria. Apart from the zone?s interest for its contribution to maintaining essential ecological processes, the unique and wonderful landscape of this small ravine is worthy of note.
