The municipality of La Villa de Santa Brígida is inland, 14 kilometres from the Island capital. To get there, visitors should take the Carretera del Centro (The Central Main Road), (GC-15) or the new Central Dual Carriageway (GC-4), both of these roads provide beautiful views of the landscape. The journey takes about 15 minutes.
If you choose to use public transport to get to the municipality, you should go to the Las Palmas de Gran Canaria Bus Station "Estación de Guaguas de Las Palmas de Gran Canaria", in Avenida Rafael Cabrera, and take one of several buses. If you want to go straight to the town centre, you can take buses number 301 or 302, both of them have departures every half hour and every hour respectively and they both follow a very similar route.
You can also catch a number 303 bus, which is the line that goes via Santa Brígida to the Vega de San Mateo and a 311 bus if you wish to go direct to the area of Bandama. The latter, however, do not run so frequently.
