Telde is 13 kilometres from the capital of the island, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. To get to this municipality visitors will need to take the motorway Autopista del Sur, which involves a short, very simple journey, as there are three lanes in each direction. It takes approximately 15 minutes to get to Telde.
Visitors who choose to take public transport will need to go to the Bus Station (Estación de Guaguas) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and take one of the many buses that go to the different parts of the municipality of Telde. Bus number 12, with departures every half hour, terminates in the centre of Telde, although the route does include stops in the area of Jinámar. Visitors may also take bus number 15 or 55, both of which go to the areas of Las Remudas and Valle de Jinámar.
Another possibility is to take bus number 80 from Santa Catalina Park in the capital city. This bus goes directly to Telde and departs more frequently, approximately every 20 minutes. To get to Telde from Maspalomas or the south part of the island, the visitor can take a number 36 bus which has daily departures every hour.
