To get to the municipality of Firgas, visitors need to take the northern road Autovía del Norte from the capital of the Island, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and after approximately 8 kilometres turn off to the municipality of Arucas and then take an inland road to Firgas. This is a very scenic but somewhat winding road.

It is approximately 28 kilometres from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria to Firgas, although this short distance can take more than 35 minutes as the inland road has some sections requiring careful driving.

Visitors who wish to reach the municipality by public transport need to go to the Bus Station (Estación de Guaguas) in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria.

It is also possible to take one of the buses going to Arucas (numbers 210, 234, 205, 206) and from there take bus number 211. This possibility has a range of timetables.
