Datos de Museos de Gran Canaria

Dans ce musée on peut admirer l??uvre de Nestor Martín Fernández de la Torre (1887 ?1938 ), un des plus grands peintres symbolistes espagnols et un des plus singuliers du mouvement européen. À part de ses plus importantes peintures on peut admirer des portraits, des paysages, des dessins pour le théâtre, l?architecture, l?artisanat, des dessins de projets?

Le musée se trouve dans l?enceinte du Pueblo Canario, où l?on trouve aussi un service de restauration et quelques commerces, son style est du dénommé « Neocanario », et fut réalisé par son frère Miguel Fernández de la Torre.

Permanent exhibitions: This exhibition features the artist?s masterpieces such as ?Epitalamio? (Epithalamion) and ?El niño arquero? (The boy archer) and two of his main series ? ?The Poem of the Sea? (or The Atlantic Poem) and ?The Poem of the Land?. Portraits, landscapes, theatre plans, architecture and craftwork, among others, are also on display.

Temporary exhibitions: Exhibitions featuring differents views of the artist?s works and his time as well as exhibitions of other symbolist or modern artists.
